Good Bye New York
The last of our New York experiences before we headed off to Toronto Canada and the Niagra Falls
Ground Zero

My "Meeting" with the President
 |
| Here comes the President. Watch carefully |
 |
| Nearly Here |
Don't Blink here he comes
 |
| Here he is - don't blink |
|
Too late - You blinked- he's gone
Liberty
 |
| Ronnie and I at the original docks were migrants were landed. Their first footfalls on mainland USA |
 |
| The Statue of Liberty behind us |
 |
From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" |
 |
| And through the Golden Door they passed, through to the trains to a new place, a new hope and a new beginning. |
 |
| The signpost noting the destinations still remain |
